The post-Byzantine anonymous church is located at the southern foot of the fortress hill. It was built around 1835, probably on the site of an older -perhaps also Byzantine- church, and was in operation until the beginning of the 20th century. A few decades ago the church’s worship was arbitrarily attributed to the local neomartyr St. John Nannos (Smyrna, +1802).
